Product Introduction
A wedge wire intake screen consists of a cylindrical or flat panel made of stainless steel wires that are shaped into a V-shaped profile. These wires are welded together at precise intervals to form slots or gaps between them. The size of the slots can be customized based on specific application requirements.
These water intake screens are utilized in the intake systems of pumps, wells, and reservoirs to prevent the entry of debris that could damage equipment or disrupt operations.
Wedge wire intake screens offer several advantages over other types of screens. They have a higher open area, allowing for increased flow rates and reduced pressure drop. The V-shaped profile of the wires provides excellent mechanical strength, allowing the screen to withstand high pressures and heavy loads without deformation. The precise slot openings provide accurate particle retention, ensuring efficient filtration. Additionally, the screens are resistant to corrosion, making them suitable for use in harsh environments.
Intake Screen Types
We supply different types of intake screens to meet different working conditions and piping systems. Profile wires, slot openings, screen sizes and flange types are all flexible and customizable.
Specifications
● Material: stainless steel 304/316, Duplex steel 2205, Super duplex steel 2507, and others
● Slot size: ranges from 0.1 mm to 10 mm (0.004" to 0.4") and 3 mm (0.12") is the most common used.
● Screen Diameter: 25 mm to 1500 mm
● Wedge wire sizes: 1 × 2 mm, 1.5 × 2.5 mm ,2 × 3 mm, 2 × 4 mm, 3 × 5 mm
● Support rod sizes: 2×3 mm, 3×5 mm, D5 mm, D6 mm, D8 mm, D10 mm

Features & Benefits
Airburst backwashing
An airburst blackwashing system can be supplied as part of the passive intake screen design in order to clear the accumulated debris from the screen surface.
Low maintenance
Thanks to the Non-plugging Vee profiles wires, intake screens is an excellent passive device that is easy cleaning and have no moving parts to allow for efficient and effective fabrication with little to no maintenance.
Maximum water flow
